Parties

iyrow is a phonetic visualization tool built and run by Justin White in Texas, United States.

What you're getting

iyrow transcribes words into IPA and draws their articulation as paths through a phoneme grid. The free tier works on its own. Paying removes the limits.

A purchase is a personal, non-transferable license: you're buying the right to use iyrow, not the software itself. No reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing.

Free tier

Free means free — no card, no trial that flips on you. Current limits: 20 words per hour, no session saving, no export, fewer settings. The limits keep the tool financially alive. That's their only job.

Pricing and payment

Payments run through Stripe, in USD. Classroom, school, and speech-language-pathology program licenses exist — write me at iyrowhq@gmail.com or select one at checkout.

No refunds on digital goods. If iyrow is genuinely broken for you and I can't fix it, I'll make it right. Changing your mind about a lifetime license isn't that. If you're not sure, stay on the free tier until you are.

What you can do

What you can't do

Your account and display name

If you sign in, you can set an optional display name. It's used to credit dictionary contributions, and may show up in community features later. Your email is the stable identifier — change the name whenever you like; nothing else is affected.

The phoneme dictionary

Words you plot may join a shared phoneme cache that improves accuracy for everyone. Signed-in users can be credited by display name for words they add. The cache is a commons: it isn't yours alone and it isn't mine alone. It is never sold or handed to third parties.

Availability

iyrow runs on Vercel and uses the Anthropic API. I keep it running, and when something breaks I fix it. One person operates this product, so I won't promise 99.9% uptime in a legal document — I'll promise to respond.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, I'll say so plainly. The current version always lives at iyrow.com/terms.
